Netflix on Playstation 3
The availability of the online movie rental service Netflix on Playstation 3 was announced last month. Today Netflix announced the service is available now for members at no additional cost. The service allows the user to instantly watch thousands of movies and TV episodes streamed to the TV via the Playstation 3 (PS3) console.
The Netflix membership costs $8.99/month and lets the consumer instantly watch unlimited movies and TV episodes. However to be able to use this service, the Netflix-member have to order the free "instant streaming disc" which is inserted into the Playstation 3's Blu-ray drive and insert it every time the service is used. The instant streaming disc uses Blu-ray's BD-Live technology and Internet to activate the Netflix user interface on the Playstation 3 system. Read more
