JVC releases JVC XV-BP11 budget Blu-ray player in the U.S.

JVC has announced the release of JVC XV-BP11, JVC's new budget Blu-ray player for the U.S. market. JVC XV-BP11 features playback of the AVCHD, a format which is used for HD camcorders such as JVC's HD Everio line. JVC XV-BP11 also plays the disc types BD-Rom, BD-R/RE, DVD-and more. As for audio formats, JVC XV-BP11 supports MP3, WMA, Dolby True HD, DTS HD Master Audio and more. JVC XV-BP11 has connectivity for two HDMI 1.3 and a USB port on the front panel.

EIZO FlexScan EV2313W LED backlit monitor

EIZO has released FlexScan EV2313W, a 23-inch LED backlit monitor in Europe. FlexScan EV2313W has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels in 16:9 aspect ratio, a 250 cd/m2 brightness and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. FlexScan EV2313W has 0.35 W built-in speakers and a 3.5 mm stereo jack and headphone jack. Other connections featured are D-Sub, DVI and DisplayPort. 

The EV2313W is 48% thinner and 41% lighter than EIZO's previous 24-inch widescreen model which enables more environmental friendly shipping. The monitor also features energy saving options such as a presence sensor, Auto EcoView and an user activated EcoView index which indicates energy consumption.

EIZO FlexScan EV2313W is available now with a suggested retail price of 450 Euro ($ 667 USD). Read more

Samsung today announced the release of 933HD+ and 2333HD entertainment HD monitors. The 933HD+ and 2333HD are aimed for users who want integrated HDTV functionality from a desktop monitor. 933HD+ and 2333HD includes a digital TV tuner and up to two HDMI connections depending on the model as well as integrated stereo sound and Dolby Digital for the 2333HD. 

Both 933HD+ and 2333HD offers a dynamic contrast ratio of 10 000:1, a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 5 ms response rate. 933HD+ supports a maximum resolution of 1360 x 768 pixels and 2333HD supports up to 1920 x 1080 pixels. Apple releases new iMac with 21.5 and 27-inch Displays

Apple has unveiled their new iMac line with the addition of the LED backlit 21.5 and 27-inch widescreen displays. The new line features four options with either a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a 2.66 GHz Intel Core i5 Quad core-processor or a 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5 Quad core-processor. 

The new 21.5-inch model display supports 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and the 27-inch one a massive 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, both with a 178 degree wide viewing angle. The new iMac line comes with a built-in graphics card in form of NVIDIA GeForce 9400M or ATI Radeon HD 4670 for the 21.5-inch model and ATI Radeon HD 4670 or ATI Radeon HD 4850 for the 27-inch model depending on customization. 

iMac 21.5-inch has a suggested retail price of $1 199 USD or $1499 USD depending on customization and is available now. iMac 27-inch has a suggested retail price of $ 1 699 USD or $ 1 999 USD depending on customization. Read more

AMD has unveiled their new graphics cards ATI Radeon HD 5770 and  ATI Radeon HD 5750. The two new graphics cards are the addition to the first and only suite of graphics cards fully supporting Microsoft DirectX 11 technology, ATI Stream technology and ATI Eyefiniti multi-monitor support. ATI Eyefiniti allows the consumer to connect up to three monitors to a single HD 5770 or HD 5750 graphics card. The cards also have Dual-stream 1080p playback support which could come in handy for future 3D experiences.

With the ATI Radeon HD 5700-series, the PC gamers and multimedia enthusiasts have now four choices to fully enjoy their Windows 7 experience. Canon today announced the launch of their professional Digital SLR camera EOS-1D Mark IV. EOS-1D Mark IV is designed for professional photographers who want to capture sports, news events and wildlife fast and in high resolution. This shows in the camera's abillity to take up to 121 large JPEG images in a single burst. 

EOS-1D Mark IV has a 16.1 Megapixels CMOS sensor and lets you record video in 1080p at 30, 25 and 24 fps and in 720p at 60 and 50 fps. EOS-1D Mark IV features a mini HDMI output for connecting the camera to a HDTV or such. The images and video can also be presented on the camera's 3-inches Clear View II LCD display with "Live View mode".

EOS-1D Mark IV features a brand new 45-point Auto Focus system, Dual "DIGIC 4" processors that provides the power to shoot cintinuous, high-resolution images at up to 10 fps as well as delivering the widest ISO range ever in a Canon camera. EOS-1D Mark IV is compatible with the latest UDMA 6 standard Flash standard flash memory cards and also lets you record to SD/SDHC cards.

Samsung announces LD220G and LD190N secondary displays for notebooks

Samsung LD220G and LD190N secondary lapfit LCD displays

Samsung has announced LD220G and LD190N: two secondary Lapfit LCD displays for notebooks. The LD220G and LD190N offers the user the abillity to have dual displays when working with several applications at the same time on a notebook. 

The LD220G has a 1080p 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. The LD190N has a 1360 x 768 pixels resolution and a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio as well. Both models has a 250 cd/m2 brightness, a dynamic contrast ratio of 20 000:1 and a 5 ms response time.

The Lapfit displays weighs only 10 pounds (4.53 kg) and have an integrated kickstand which can tilt from 10 to 40 degrees to match the notebook's screen angle.

Samsung Lapfit LD220G and LD190N will have a suggested retail price of $249.99 and $149.99 respectively. Release dates are yet to be announced. Read more
