Acer GD235HZ 3D display
Acer has debuted their new 3D display GD235HZ for consumers in the United States. The display is a 23.6 inches big display which delivers Full HD 3D in 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution (16:9) with a 120 Hz refresh rate. To view 3D content such as High Definition 3D games or Blu-ray movies, you have to combine the display with NVIDIA 3D Vision active-shutter glasses.
The GD235HZ is Acer’s first monitor to support 3D technology and is an answer to the rising market with stereoscopic 3D displays that is expected to grow from 0,7 million units in 2008 to 196 million units by 2018, according to DisplaySearch.
The monitor has a native contrast ratio of 1000:1, a brightess of 300 cd/m2 and a response time of 2 ms. As for connectivity, the GD235HZ has one HDMI, one DVI and one VGA.
Acer GD235HZ 3D display will be available early this month for U.S. customers with a suggested retail price of $399.99 USD. The NVIDIA 3D Vision Kit is sold separately with a suggested retail price of $199 USD. Source: Businesswire
