BenQ has announced the release of the world’s first Vertical Alignment (VA) LED monitors in their EW and VW-series. The line-up features VA-panel LED monitors with the Full HD resolution in the 16:9 aspect ratio. The new models are: EW2420 (24-inches), VW2420(H) (24-inches) and VW2220(H) (21,5-inches). All models have a viewing angle at 178/178 degrees, a true 3000:1 native contrast ratio and BenQ’s Senseye Human Vision technology.
What the VA LED-based panels offers is better colour reproduction, high contrast ratio and a more accurate display of blacks with minimal light leakage.
Ports for the VW series includes DVI, D-Sub, HDMI 1.3 and a headphone jack. The EW series comes with DVI-D, HDMI x 2, D-Sub, USB x 4, line-in, headphone jack as well as a pair of built-in 1.5 W speakers.
BenQ VW2420(H) and EW2420 will be available worldwide in early mid-July and mid-August respectively and the VW2220(H) will be available in November. Suggested retail prices and more exact release date is yet to be announced. Source: BenQ
