
A flexible OLED screen
A new advance by researchers at Arizona State University’s Flexible Display Center (FDC) and at Universal Display have made a more affordable mass-production of flexible OLED displays a reality. The researchers have made flexible OLED displays by using processes and tools that are used to make today’s LCD flatscreens.
OLEDs can be printed on plastic and worn on wrists or on clothing which will be a interesting feature as the production now may be cheaper. Sony, LG and Samsung has unveiled small flexible prototypes over the last years but they are very expensive because the process have been expensive. Read more
