James Cameron’s Avatar on a Panasonic TV

Panasonic has entered a sponsorship deal with 20th Century Fox to bring James Cameron’s movie Avatar in 3D on their upcoming 3D ready technology. The sponsorship deal will promote awareness for Panasonic’s 3D ready plasma televisions and Blu-ray disc players which will hit the U.K. market in 2010.

The upcoming technology from Panasonic will offer 3D stereoscopic video in 1080p resolution by sending out two seperate 1080p images. The human eye thinks the two images are a single 3D image when viewed to special glasses.Panasonic predicts around 100 3D HD films will be made available on Blu-ray disc as soon as 3D equipment starts being available in homes.
