Verbatim has announced the industry’s first 6X BD-R LTH (Low to high) type media. The 6X which is equivalent to approximately 10x with DVD-R media, enables users to record an entire 25GB disc much faster than the current 2X BD-R LTH type media. The new 6X media makes it ideal for recording personal high-definition video, backing up data, archiving photo collections and much more.
The BD-R LTH media differs from the standard BD-R by feautring a organic recording layer which is applied to the disc by a process similar to that of Verbatim’s premium CD-R or DVD-R discs. This allows Verbatim to quickly and cost-effectively deliver Blu-ray discs to respond the increasing demand. The Verbatim 6X BD-R LTH-discs will be out this fall. Read more
